Ashley grew up in London Ontario. Her passion for teaching stemmed from early memories of her grade one teacher and the difference she made in her life. At the age of eleven, she came to know and invite Jesus into her heart through the kindness and influence of her Aunt and Uncle. She became involved in children’s and youth ministries and continued to serve in various church ministries into adulthood. From personal experience, she knows that the earnest prayers of a teacher, radical kindness, and the example of a committed Christian can have a profound and transformative impact on the life of a young person. Leading by faith, modeling the behaviour Christ demonstrated, and living out the fruits of the spirit, is at the core of Ashley's heart as she develops meaningful relationships with her students.
Ashley began her professional career in 2004 as an Early Childhood Educator working for various organizations such as Mission Services of London, London Children’s Connection, and Thames Valley District School Board. As a recent graduate from the Faculty of Education at Western University, Ashley is thrilled to continue her career in education teaching grade 6.
She has been married to Adam for 20 years and they have three wonderful children. When she is not teaching, Ashley can be found spending time with her husband and sons playing sports, board games, and hiking. Ashley and her family attend North Park Community Church.
