Sarah grew up on a farm in Southwestern Ontario. She was active in her local Presbyterian Church, participating in the music ministry, Sunday school, and youth group. From a young age, Sarah knew she wanted to be an elementary school teacher, although she took a circuitous route to get there. A teacher recognized Sarah's musical gifts early on, which led her first to a career in the performing arts.
Growing up, Sarah studied ballet, tap dancing, modern dance, horse riding, and voice. Sarah holds an Honours Bachelor of Music Theatre from Sheridan College and a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University, specializing in Arts-Integrated Education. Additionally, she studied opera at Indiana University and privately in Toronto. She performed with theatre companies in Canada, the U.S., and Europe, with career highlights including performances on Disney Cruise Lines and in the German production of Cats.
Sarah now lives with and cares for her mother, Mary. Sarah is thrilled to integrate her love for Jesus Christ into her teaching at London Christian Academy and looks forward to a prosperous school year.
